  I have to agree with the few reviews below me -- Atascadero Waste Management is absolutely worthless. I can't even count the number of times they've left half-full bins behind, or just completely failed to pick up any trash from bins I'd left out on the street. Usually, they at least don't make excuses and do come finish the job after I call to complain, but over the last few weeks, they actually refused to empty my green bin (two weeks in a row) because the lid wouldn't close. "OVER FULL!!" So when a few branches are sticking out of the bin's top, the trash truck is no longer able to electronically grab the bin and empty its contents? The truck driver definitely had to take notes on what the issue was -- the person who I spoke to over the phone had these notes ready to relay to me -- and I can't imagine that that took less time than pushing a button and actually doing his job.
  
  I work in commercial real estate and have a lot of experience with San Luis Garbage / South County Sanitary -- I have never once heard of them providing inadequate service, and if any bins are "over full," they still do their jobs and then charge a little extra. That would be fine by me!
